Jose went above and beyond to help us out whilst we stayed here! Was super communicative, and helped us order taxis to the bus station early in the morning, looked after our bags whilst we went on an overnight tour on the lake and so much more! Showers were hot, and beds super comfy! We had the breakfast before our early morning tour which was also great. Would highly recommend staying here :)

We had such a great time with Mario and Julia, and our stay at Isla Taquile wouldn't have been nearly as good without their company. Mario greeted us at the port when we arrived, and later in the day showed us around the island, explaining about inca ruins and answering all our questions about the culture and lifestyle of the people living on the island. Our room was clean and comfortable with many blankets, a table and chairs, and electric outlets (although Mario said only some of the rooms have this as of today). The shower was hot and Julia cooked us delicious food for dinner (additional cost) and breakfast (included in the booking). We also got to see a weaving demonstration by Julia, and bought some beautiful homemade textile crafts from them. There was spotty Entel reception on some parts of the island, but not in the village/accommodation; apparently Bitel works better on the island, but we didn't try it ourselves. We drank the water from the tank at their place with no issue, but they have boiled drinking water for guests if needed. I'd say some knowledge of Spanish is an advantage to get the most out of a stay here, as Mario and Julia speak Spanish and Quechua but not English. All in all an excellent way to get to experience the island and its culture!

Beautiful place, in a small cozy garden. The big rooms are crafted with taste, the bed is huge and everything has charm. The bar/restaurant prepares delicious food with a warm welcome. Clearly a small peace of heaven in Puno at a very reasonable price.

superb view over the lake and the city! Rebelino is such a devoted host, driving us everywhere needed since the flat is a little high in the hills. He also kept our bags while we were on Amantani and brought them directly to us in the center when we returned...And finallyl Breakfast from Jessica is to die for...best fruits and pancakes I've (ever?) eaten! Thank you both for your kindness!

Sophia's house is located very close to Amantani's main square. The rooms overlook a patio and, most importantly, the lake view is heavenly. Sophia is an incredible person, who will do everything to pamper you and share her culture, especially her delicious cuisine. A must-do excursion on this peaceful island steeped in history.

First of all, the host is amazing and very helpful with anything related to the stay or the places to visit nearby. The room is very spacious and clean, while the location of the place is so good that you could reach on foot most amenities in the city (i.e. the mall, the market, the restuarants) and it also has the connector route 1B reaching the airport passing just 1 block from the property. I'd definitely stay again!

The room was exactly like in the pictures. The owner shared with us many useful information (how to get around the city, how to reach the airport), he booked for us a good, well priced tour to Uros island. The accomodation was worth every cent. It offers great value for money. The breakfast was above expectations for Peruvian standards. We felt welcome and we wouldn't hesitate to book again if coming back to Puno. This place truly deserves it's rating.

The casa hotel was on a hill with a nice view of lake and town. Quiet location. Am employee saw me on the street and helped me take my luggage up the hill to hotel as I was suffering from altitude sickness. At check in, Addi made me some mata de coca tea. On my birthday, the owners presented me with a delicious chocolate from the best bakery in town. All this for about $15 a night. You can say that I was well treated. Thanks to Addi and Soledad— and all the staff.

Extremely friendly staff who also offer tours themselves. We made an excursion to the southern shore of the lake and were also allowed to take part in an Inca ritual! Absolutely recommendable! - AND: Nice view on the lake!
