A beautiful, calm oasis in the craziness that is Arusha. Very relaxing and a great place prepare for a trip or recover from one! Cecile, Marley and Isaya are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Getting picked up from the airport by Marley made getting there a breeze, and it was a great way to be introduced to the city. The house and garden are very tidy and nicely set up. Love all the decors inside, especially Cecile’s basket collection! Lots of great spaces inside and out to relax and chill. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire at night chatting. And Cecile’s meals —Dutch-Tanzanian ‘fusion’ — were amazing. It’s also a great location for getting to and from safari rentals, shops and local markets. Everything is a short tuk tuk ride away! Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. The location was convenient, close to local attractions and transport, making it easy to get around. If you're looking for a hotel where you can unwind and rest comfortably, I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again!

Offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’hébergement Shavia Lodge comprend un jardin et un balcon, à environ 28 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Uhuru monument. Pour notre dernier jour en Tanzanie nous avons logés à Shavia Lodge afin de nous ressourcer avant de longues heures de vols. Nous avons choisi cet hébergement, car il est à la fois proche de l'aéroport, et proche de la ville, tout en étant dans la nature. Ce n'est peut être qu'un détail pour certains, mais après avoir eu de nombreuses surprises dans d'autres auberges, ici nous avons pu avoir de l''eau chaude dans les douches 😂. Le Wi-Fi fonctionne partout et en ce qui concerne la propreté il n'y a rien à redire ! Les draps sentaient bons et les moustiquaires n'étaient pas trouées. Les petits plus, en dehors du petit déjeuner il est possible de manger sur place le soir ( on ne sait pas pour le midi) et c'était délicieux en plus de la quantité ! (Option végétarien possible). Ce qui nous a également marqué, c'est la bienveillance et la gentillesse des hôtes !

Nous avons apprécié la tranquillité du lieu et la proximité d une route principale pour prendre un tuk tuk. La chambre avec salle de bain était conforme à nos standards européens de propreté. Nous recommandons cet hébergement d un très bon rapport qualité prix avec petit déjeuner copieux. Et nous avons apprécié l accueil chaleureux de Boniface et sa femme. Il nous a arrangé un safari de dernière minute inoubliable. Merci à eux.

It's beautiful, spacious, and very nice people working there who go out of the way to help. I couldn't believe how nice the rooms were- they really look like the pictures. The breakfast was really big, with toast eggs sausage, ham, fresh fruit, soup noodles, coffee and tea. I couldn't finish it. It's on the edge of town so it's quiet and peaceful. They suggested I rest up after a tiring day of travel, which I meant I could take a hot shower and a nice nap before coming down to have tea. Payment was in US dollars and simple. The dinners and breakfasts are communal which makes it easy to meet other travelers. There were students from Germany who were doing projects in a nearby school and staying here for six weeks and a travel agent from Germany, all of whom were quite nice to say hello to. I would definitely stay here again especially if I brought my sister since she doesn't like the noise in town.
