Sandwich
The boat with a terrace and river views features 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 3 bathrooms with a shower. Towels and bed linen are provided in the boat. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. I note this is a first review, so I will try to provide a comprehensive account. This was a wonderful surprise. The boat is beautifully decorated, totally fresh and clean and with lots of thoughtful touches, fitted with a compact but comfortable and relaxing lounge with generous sofa, TV and internet. Better than an hotel - which hotel provides chairs and table on the deck to sit in the sun and watch the tide (and ducks) flowing past? I didn't require any heating, but saw it to be present and found no difficulty drifting to sleep with a peaceful lapping of waves on the hull. There is a very good double with ensuite and the cutest single, also ensuite and a fabulous shower. I felt like the captain on my own mini- superyacht. There is a well thought out galley (kitchen) that I think is best for breafast and simple meals. No need to worry about any catering needs in Sandwich (two minutes walk from Sea Dream's peaceful mooring) that was a real find. A historic period gem almost lost in time but with plenty of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes with friendly welcomes and some unusual shops. I learnt there are plenty of events to enjoy throughout the year and it is also handy for visiting bigger places such as Canterbury. I will certainly visit again and hope Sea Dream will be available. A luxurious adventure at less cost than a motorway hotel.

We didn't leave Sandwich (we didn't want to leave the barge for long :)) Also, I would like to give a shout-out to Celia - she came to clean the barge after our stay. What a brilliant women - full of knowledge about the local area and the barge. She could not have been more helpful and even offered to jump start my car when it broke down. Meeting Celia brought our time on the barge to a very happy and cheerful end.

I have to say we were extremely disappointed with our stay. We went, as we wanted a relaxing trip focusing on the beauty of the sea serenity. However, we were not met with serenity we were met with banging music from the yacht club next door. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talk or the Tv. The accommodation is not cheap and we feel very let down.
Genuinely one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Mark and Leigh were the friendliest boat, breakfast was great and the superior twin was perfect for me and my friend to have loads of our own space. Thank you :-)
Location: close to sea and close to Dover - where we took the boat. Room had a small pantry, that was nice.
Best 2 nights sleep I've had in a long while 😊 ..boat was very comfortable and in a very quiet area. Yet only 5 mins walk to the town. Would love to come back one day.
Lovely traditional old yacht club with great views over the harbour, but the best thing was the staff - shout out to Lisa who was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful! We had bikes in a posh old yacht club and Lisa was just so helpful in making it easy for us to stay and store the bikes in the old TV/meeting room! She even came in early on the morning to make sure we were able to get away on time.
Right on the marina, so it was easy to walk out and be on the beach and watch the huge boats!
Location to marina and Royal Cinque Yacht Club was super handy. We were fortunate to have been given a sea facing view looking out to blue skies, channel ferries in the distance and shingle beach. Bedrooms newly renovated, good decor with mirrors in all the right places. Staff were friendly and helpful - they seemed to be going through extra mile. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of healthy options including homemade smoothies.
This hotel is a perfect place close to the boat in Dover. There is ample parking on site and you can easily take the bus to Cambridge. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and the dinner was excellent.
The breakfast was ideal for my wife and I. Sharon was very accomodating with the choices of food and beverages. Whatever we wanted she would provide it. Marvellous!! The location was quiet and picturesque - in a rural setting, but within walking distance of the historical town of Faversham. Nestled next to the Faversham Creek, we had a great view of the magnificent house boats.
