It was very cosy, modern technology for the lights and heating. Compact but enough space for a couple. The spa was the cherry ontop. Extra little gestures for the experience also like hot chocolate for coming in from the spa etc.

I contacted the host the day prior to our arrival asking if we could drop our bags off earlier than the check-in time, eg 12.00noon with the official check-in being 3.00pm. The reply was that would not a problem and as she was not going to be home until 6.00pm, just ring the door bell and the cleaner would let us in. Also, our room would be ready for us. The room we had was very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast selection was great and very nice too. The location of the guest house good as only about 15 minutes walk from the main centre of Edinburgh. Also, there was a nice reasonably priced bar/restaurant almost across the road.

The owners were very helpful and welcoming.The room was fantasticand the location amazing. The main bus route is half a block away. You do not need to use your car at all. Easy to navigate. Every day we got a breakfast bag and a lovely surpriseon EasterSaturday when we returned to our room that night a beautiful boxed Easter Egg. Very thoughtful.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly nice and attentive. The accommodation is in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood, yet still very close to the city center – the perfect balance. The room was spotless, very cosy, with a huge and comfortable bed. Every morning, we were surprised with some delightful treats from the host, which made our stay even more special. Highly recommended!

The host, Lydie, is a delightful, warm, and welcoming person who made me feel right at home in her lovely place. My room was perfect, with a very comfortable bed, and a view over the city. I ordered breakfast, which came with excellent coffee, croissants, jam, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese and biscuits; a substantial morning repast delivered to my room. Lydie had suggestions for restaurants, getting around Edinburgh, etc. All great! Highly recommend and will return when next in Edinburgh!
