Villa Contarini is a newly renovated and refurbished Venetian Villa to the highest standards with great professionality and historical charm. The en-suite room is very nice with an extremely comfortable bed and high quality bedding. The air-conditioning is very efficient. It is a huge value that you have access to the garden. The breakfast was served there and you can enjoy al-fresco dining during the day. The Villa is 10 min. walk from the vaporetto station or 2 min, walk from the bus. It is very conveniently located. The breakfast was very generous and was beyond the usual Italian style. It included not only sweet pastries but ham, cheese, fruits, nuts, joghurt, juices, coffee and tea. Michaela and Svet are excellent hosts and their guidance on history, art and architecture in Venice islands are truly valuable and should not be missed. They did all their efforts to accommodate my request and assure that I had a pleasant stay. A great thank you to make me feel at home in Villa Contarini.

The central location. The property was situated in a residential area and was very peaceful and quiet; just a 5 minute walk to the beach and less than 10 mins from restaurants and the water taxi stop. Breakfast outside in the morning. Also, the property was very clean.

First impressions were already great - we got upgraded (it was my wife's birthday so wonderful coincidence) and got a very professional introduction to the whole place and Venice in general. The hotel is very new and was created out of monastery's premises - very nice interiors, super clean and modern yet fitting to the surroundings. We had a view on the lagoon - absolutely amazing. Breakfasts were also delicious and I'm pretty sure that above local standards. At the end my wife's got a "happy birthday" in Italian by three ladies from the breakfast service. What to expect more?
