We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

All staffs are very kind and they provided high quality of services. Onsen was great and also Kaiseki dinner was awesome and delicious. Stay at Okuno Hosomichi was an unforgettable time for us. Fantastic services. Great facility. It's on the side of the mountain with a great view of the city. Both breakfast and Kaiseki dinner were phenomenal. The little details put into the service made the stay even more enjoyable. The cost was on the higher end, but I felt like it was worth it. I'd stay here again, if I go to Arima again.

If I dreamt up the perfect room, this would be it! I loved : the # of wastebaskets, the controls for the lights and curtains, the toilet, the automatic closing bathroom door, the room’s small amenities, which felt very luxurious and nice, the storage closet, sauna, and hot spring/ tub/shower room- absolutely everything. Every detail of the room has been thought out. Thoughtful design, purposeful and functional layout and mechanisms, and it all looked and felt so luxurious.
