We were truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the property owner. His efforts in arranging our Wilpattu Safari and city tour guide made our stay even more memorable. The staff also left a lasting impression with their exceptional service. Wasantha went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! He collected us from our previous accommodation in Trincomalee at a fair price, organised an excellent guide for the next day, and when he heard we were keen to try new food he provided amazing Sri Lankan style food for breakfast and dinner.

The hosts. As a solo traveler when things go s bit awry good help and support is so valuable. That is what I had at Ceylonima. The hosts spoke excellent English and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. Even ended up driving me 4hours to Negombo. I didn't know it when I booked but the husband is also s licensed tour guide so you ask him anything and also if you arranged ahead of time pay some extra for tours. One more thing I appreciated was the option to have an evening meal on the balcony outside my room. So relaxing.

Mr. Palitha is very kind and helpful. Along with all the useful recommendations that he provided, he took his time to cook us breakfast before leaving. He has a beautiful family with a lot of stories to tell. After a long day of visiting, we relaxed outside, sitting on his picturesque porch near the lake, the only noise being the sound of nature. The location is clean, close to the city center. You are within walking distance from good restaurants, the lake and ATMs. The Anuradhapura ancient city is also reachable by a short tuk tuk ride.

Janaka is THE host—truly exceptional in the hospitality scene in Sri Lanka. He is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home, while also being highly professional and attentive to all our needs. He went out of his way to help us plan our days in Mihintale exactly as we wished—and what he managed to organize for us was no small feat! He was also genuinely concerned for our safety throughout our stay: while Sri Lanka is a very safe country, his attentiveness was still much appreciated. The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

We had an amazing stay at this holiday home in Anuradhapura. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and up to a high standard—much better than we expected for the price.
