Shan and his Mam gave such a warm welcome upon arriving into Nuwara Eliya after a long train journey. They are kind, welcoming and extremely attentive to every detail and it truly feels like a home away from home. Shan was always on hand for any needs or requests. The tour he arranged of the nearby tea plantation, waterfalls and secret view point was a highlight and reasonably priced. My room was tastefully decorated and extra cosy with the comfortable bed and thick blankets. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by Daphne was amazing, I will miss those honey rottis for breakfast! I highly recommend Rustique House to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. Shan, thank you for a great stay and opening up your family home to guests. You should be very proud of the wonderful home stay you have created!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this guest house in Nuwara Eliya! Everything was perfect: the place was spotlessly clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and it truly felt like home. The breakfast was delicious and hearty, the ideal start to the day. What made our stay even more memorable was Rajith, the wonderful owner. He went above and beyond to take care of us, ensuring we had everything we needed — from providing water and laundry service to recommending great restaurants and organizing our tea trail excursion. He even helped with transport to the town center and arranged last-minute emergency rides, including a 5 AM trip to the train station! Thank you, Rajith, for making our time in Nuwara Eliya so special!

Charming house in English style! Nice, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was a real feast and you have to take your time to enjoy it. The host made the best avocado smoothie I have ever had. He is very attentive and pleasant to talk to. We would definitely come back if we ever return to Sri Lanka

The design of the house is amazing! Everything was really clean and in order. The family that host us was awesome. The mum offered us a welcomed tea and a cake. We also had dinner at her place and everything was delicious. I also meet her cat and we spend lovely time togheter. His son organized for us a morning tour of tea plantation and some point of view of the valley, including Ramboda falls. For sure one of the best experiences ever!

Great location for walking along the railway line, making it very good if catching the train for the scenic trip Nanu Oya to Ella.or to Kandy. He enabled us to check in a little earlier and gave us a few ideas of things to do, such as walking to the local waterfall. He would have cooked an evening meal for us but we chose a place in the village where there were a lot of locals eating.

We spent a night at Ansi Villa, where we found an extremely hospitable atmosphere and very accommodating hosts. They prepared local dishes for dinner, with eight different preparations, showing great kindness and friendliness towards us. The room was clean and welcoming, and the next morning we were served a hearty breakfast. If you want a family experience and to eat homemade local food, this is the place to be. The owners were loving and even offered to keep our backpacks after checkout, allowing us to explore the city.

We had an amazing stay at Ansi Villa and couldn't recommend it enough! The family are so lovely, friendly and accommodating. Our room and the villa was extremely clean, the bed was very comfy and we had the BEST food here. They cooked us dinner which was delicious and the breakfast was amazing. The accommodation is very close to Nanu Oya train station (5 min walk) and there is a couple of beautiful waterfalls nearby the villa which the family recommended so we had a lovely walk before catching our train.

The owner and his family are very nice, they stayed up late for us because our train got delayed. It a very good value for the money. I would highly recommend Ansii Villa , on top of that few minutes ride from the station. Thank you for the hospitality

If you’re travelling to Nanuoya, I highly recommend Ansi Villa. The family were so warm and welcoming, providing tea and cake on arrival, and cooking the BEST Sri Lankan breakfast (which was included). The room was perfect - clean with a very comfortable bed and excellent Wi-Fi. The location is fantastic. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station. The best hospitality and great value for money.

Very lovely Place! It’s on the outskirts of the village and very quiet, lovely view of the area. The owner are super sweet, ofer a free shuttle service and the dinner and breakfast were delicious homecooked meals 🥰. Bed very comfortable and everything is super clean. Anytime again!
