The calm and voluptuousness of the desert, the quiet steps of majestic dromedaries and the beauty of the starry sky were our backdrop. This was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed so much about it. Saud has created a beautiful, quiet, comfortable space for a small number of people to have an intimate experience in the desert, an homage to his experience growing up in Bidiyah. From beautiful tents to private bathrooms to wonderful food, Desert Waves is an amazing place to experience the desert, the stars, the scenery and experiences like camel rides or visits to local spots. We met some lovely people (fellow travelers) in the camp that we shared meals with, and Saud and his staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. FYI, two taxi drivers from Muscat quoted us 50 OMR each way to drive us to Bidiyah, and renting a car ourselves was less than half of that amount.

Me and my friends liked the whole experience of being in a desert, that was something worth of doing. Ibrahim and all staff members are just amazing friendly people that are making it even more unforgettable experience. We had a chance also to have some Omani food for dinner and breakfast which was very nice. In the morning beautiful sunrise and in the evening stunning sunset. As a activity we did dune driving which was so much fun. Tents were clean and comfortable, biggest surprise was flushable toilet and running tap water with a shower. Beautiful experience and recommend to everyone.

"My sister and I have been in Oman for 2 days in October and we slept in dune camp for 1 night... Since we had so few time we asked Said to help us organizing our trip around in Oman... It was the greatest host ever!! Everything was perfect and organized in details, we have been there for 2 days but it seems like we have stayed there for 1 week for how many things we had the opportunity to do! The camp in the desert was such a beautiful experience, observing the sunrise and sunset on the dunes, eating typical dinner watching the desert's stars and sleeping in tent...Said always cared we were having the best of our time! We are bringing back home lovely memories of a lot of laughs and lot of beautiful places seen! A special thank also to our super driver Zayed, who drove us in several places and always cared as well everything was fine! You guys were the best, thank you for making our trip so special!"

To stay in a Desert Camp sleeping under the stars is a completely outstanding experience. Driving over the dunes, riding camels, sharing the local food with the family that accommodated us felt special indeed. The location of the camp is hidden, aqay from other camps or other people, so one can enjoy complete silence, darkness and inclusion with the nature. Provided breakfast and dinner had a traditional tone which we appreciated highly. Recommended!

The tent was original and traditional yet has all the facilities and basic needs such as clean bedding, fan, terrace in front of of the tent to sit and watch the starts at night. The camp offers a lot of activities, dune bashing , quads, camel rides. The host Faiz waited for us on time at the meeting point and offered the best hospitality on camp. The camp is located in a quiet secluded place between the beautiful dunes and they only have 5 tents which makes the place very exclusive. It’s good value for money and it is highly recommended

The service was exceptional, and everything exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding—delicious in every way. We enjoyed a wonderful picnic during breakfast, which was truly memorable. The night sky was breathtaking, and we had a fantastic time sandboarding on the dunes. Our kids had a blast playing in the sand and trying out sandboarding themselves. Sultan was amazing—he and Benjamin were so friendly and helpful, keeping our kids entertained during the sandboarding. The tent was charming and comfortable, though the separate outdoor toilet was not an issue for us. We also went on a safari game drive to spot camels and sheep with one of the staff (we forgot his name), and the drive through the desert was beautiful. He was very kind to take some photos and videos for us. The pickup from the car to the camp was a fantastic experience as well. Overall, the whole experience was superb!!
