We were welcomed by the kindest hosts we ever met, Ayled and Gilberto are very friendly and helped us a lot. The view from the house is phenomenal (overlooking the valley). It is peaceful and quiet. The room was amazing, especially the view. We could also use the well equipped kitchen to prepare food which helped a lot. The tap water (drinkable, filtered) comes from the mountain and tastes great.

We had an amazing stay at la Chachalaca. Pati was a wonderful host; she informed us well before we arrived and told us alot about what to do in El Valle and the birds. We loved the view, the nature and all the birds. The appartment was nice with good equiped kitchen and hot shower.

Casa Grimaldo is a perfect stay in El Valle, the place is very well maintained and the gardens around are gorgeous and very photogenic (even more so when everything is lit up at night). It is a wonderful little romantic getaway. Staff is very forward coming, friendly and serves you well. Accommodation is perfect sized, everything is working as expected and the balcony with hammocks overviewing the garden is breathtaking. My only pet peeve would be the shower head which was spraying water all over the place and in combination with the shower door not very well insulated it made our bathroom into a little pool. :)

It was a great place to stay. They were really helpful after another place canceled our reservation on the spot. The room had enough space and kitchen essentials for a couple. The pool looked amazing, though we didn’t have time to use it. I’d like to go back.

It is a really beautiful place with a lot of nature around and two very precious dogs. The family who owns the place lives right next door and is very nice and helpful.

Great location right near the trail head of La India Dormida. The owner Ariel went out of his way to make us feel at home and make our travels easy. He is probably the most hospitable host we have ever encountered in our travels. He met us in town at the bus stop and offered to drop us off at the bus stop when we were leaving. He is very knowledgeable about the town and activities, and loves to share music and stories. The communal spaces are very homely, there is a big backyard space and a river alongside the property.

This sweet little cabin is located in a wonderful, natural area near La Laguna (lake) and Cerro Picacho (mountain). The setting and grounds are beautiful and the lake is within walking distance. The trailhead to a Cerro Picacho hike is on the way to the lake. There is warm water in the shower in the stunning bathroom and a kitchen with all of the equipment you need to cook your meals (there are no restaurants in the area). Bring your hiking shoes and portable chairs so you can enjoy the outside space! Check-in was super easy and the place was spotless!
