Casa Doce is like a home from home. Sally has included many touches and extra provisions most hosts don’t consider important. We appreciated the stocked cupboards, welcome drinks and overview of places she recommended to explore. The home was cool and in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views from the terrace.

This ‘gem’ of a property is located in the relaxing, countryside of the beautiful Algarve. Cidália was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The pool was great, we used it a lot and the games room was great fun. João, Cidálias’ son was just starting to launch a catering business and cooked us a delicious traditional Portuguese meal accompanied with Cocktails, (extra of course), perfect for a “night off”.

We had a lovely stay here. Renata gave us a very warm welcome and did everything she could for us while we were there. Our room had a really good king size bed, large bathroom and an entry area for luggage space, all spotlessly clean. Fruit trees are out the back so there are no near neighbours. An outside kitchen area has a microwave, fridge, coffee pod machine, plates and cutlery. Every area connects to the courtyard pool, which encourages some interaction with the owners and other guests.

We appreciated every moment of our stay. The room was reasonably sized (but not big) with a lovely balcony with views on the back garden. The bathroom was crystal clean, all amenities working great. Aircon incredibly quiet. Very comfortable beds. Closeby a small room for guests with a big fridge and microwave. But the real added value is Patricia, the owner, who we met, and who told us about the story of this place (heritage from her grandmother), always smiling, incredibly welcoming and willing to help, with excellent English spoken. People make the difference, always. Breakfast was the best we had all over our journey, so varied and tasty (available also in the outer veranda, if the weather allows), set in a beautiful location, with old furniture and beautiful glasses on show. There's an ample and safe parking for the guests inside the structure. The only possible downside is the Quinta's location, in a bend on the main road to the village, if you have a car, well, it's perfect, no hassle for parking at all, but it's some 1.8km far from Carvoeiro village, it's a good walk if you don't mind using your legs, so up to you. But I would really recommend this place hands down, even for long stays, and would return.

A stunningly designed getaway hidden amongst the orange groves. The room far exceeded expectations and generally the whole place is beautifully designed. The family that own the place (Margarida, Mano and their lovely mother whose name I never got) are extremely attentive and hands on and it really felt like a home away from home. The villa was amazing! The house was even bigger than it looked in the photos. The pool area was fabulous, lots of sun loungers, the outdoor kitchen and different seating areas were super. The pool was beautiful. The games room in the basement was a huge hit with the kids. Everywhere was spotless. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The town was a 2 minute drive away and had a Lidl and Aldi and lots of restaurants. A perfect holiday getaway for a big family or group.

The view and location are perfect. It is a short drive to beaches and various towns. It was fully equipped for small kids, from a cot, high chair, cutlery, etc. The house is more than comfortable for a short or long stay with children. It was so comfortable and neat that it felt more like a home than a holiday rental. The photos doesn't do the view justice, it's so much more beautiful in person
