York Lodge is made of charming English bungalows (with modern amenities) in a lush green compound. Our compliments to Margot the owner for developing such a beautiful property with a blend of foliage (old trees and new plants and green islands) It was like staying in a botanical garden. Lounging on the broad verandahs, hearing sounds of birds and insects in the air conditioned temperature of Harare was bliss. The bungalows have modern amenities and this really helped us unwind!

The property is in a very serene and calm area. The supermarkets are a 15 minute drive away. The studio is very spacious and my room had a balcony and huge bathroom and walking closet. The kitchen has all of the amenities you need. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Would stay here again as it is very peaceful.

My family and I loved everything. The pool - we swam 2 days in a row. The staff were so accommodating and polite. The rooms were clean and we met the owner Mbuya Maruwa who was such a sweetheart. I would absolutely go back. Mbuya said to drop by anytime for a cup of tea!

When I first arrived I was greeted and welcomed by the lovely host, Paulette. Her and the rest of the lodge staff were very attentive and made the whole stay comfortable. I stayed in a large and well equipped room with everything I needed for a work trip. I made my tea everyday using the kitchen area that opens to the wide garden with a view and fresh air. It was also reassuring to leave my belongings in the exceptionally safe premises. I could go on! Thanks for the experience :)
