My 10 days were making great new friends , very kind and genuine people seem to gravitate to this beautiful hotel . You will see monkeys in the trees and wake to their howls & the bird life and that’s it , no road noise , leisurely coffee and breakfast then onto your day :) Absolutely faultless , highly highly recommend . It's nice to have a living room + kitchen and balconies. Beds were comfortable + AC in the bedrooms is enjoyable. There is everything in the flat if you need to cook.

This was one of our multiple stays in Costa Rica, and we were truly impressed. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Above all, the Refugio concept — which includes a beautiful café and a cozy bar offering excellent food and drinks — truly exceeded our expectations. Unlike at other accommodations, we didn't have to eat Gallo Pinto for breakfast every day, but could instead choose from a wide variety of delicious brunch options directly from the restaurant/bar. The staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed — from arranging surf lessons to recommending great local restaurants. We were mainly in touch with Augustin, who took excellent care of us. Overall, we were delighted with our stay and can highly recommend this place.

Think of this as "glamping" with lots of extra bells and whistles and creature comforts. Can't recommend highly enough!

This was our last stop on our three week trip through Costa Rica and ended up being our favorite place. La quebrada lodge is just beautiful and the huge pool in the middle is awesome. Everyone is so welcoming and rooms are large and super clean. We ended up ordering breakfast from Maria every morning which was very tasty and plentiful.
