Every morning, a freshly prepared breakfast by Restaurant Isabel was delivered directly to my room—sweet and savory pastries, fruit, and juice—luxurious in its simplicity. My hosts, Léa and João, were absolutely wonderful. They welcomed me warmly from the moment I arrived, with genuine kindness and a sense of caring that made me feel instantly at ease. João is a guide, ask him for hikings! I also want to highlight the friendliness of every person I met in the area—they were open, warm, and made this journey feel safe and connected. At night, I would gaze up at the stars from my cozy funco—the sky, completely free of light pollution, felt like a universe unfolding just for me.

I totally recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic getaway to relax and enjoy a few days by the volcano.

The host Albino went above and beyond helping me arrange a rental car and even serving me an impromptu free farewell lunch.
