Highly recommend this place and will definitely return! Ahmed the owner, along with his staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They arranged a car from the airport, and the driver was in touch with me well in advance of my arrival. Despite my late arrival, Ahmed prepared a delicious homemade dinner at a very reasonable price. She also organized a felucca ride on short notice, again at a fair rate. During our conversations, I shared some stories about my family who couldn’t join me on the trip. In a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, Ahmed gave a small gift for my wife and kids — a touching example of Nubian hospitality and culture that really stayed with me. On my first day, her son kindly accompanied me on the ferry to help me get familiar with the area — another thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. Every request I had was taken care of promptly and with genuine care. Do note that the place is located on an island, so you'll need to take a ferry to get in and out. The service is frequent, but it’s something to be aware of when planning. We were able to use the washing machine for free, there is an equipped kitchen to use. Food is very tasty. Beautiful rooftop restaurant.

He also helped us by talking to the bank teller to break down large notes and took us to a restaurant with great vegetarian food. He also prepared us a vegetarian breakfast. The location is nice and quiet and you can hear the birds when you up. He is knowledgeable about Nubian culture and also organizes trips down the Nile. Crocodiles, birds, food, there is a lot more to Abu Simbel than just the temple. Longer stays recommended for those looking for an off the beaten track experience.

Rawia and her staff will do all they can to ensure you enjoy your stay as much as I did.

They also offer good service with excursions to Abu Simbel, or felucca tours. There are very good restaurants very closeby (King Jamaica, Bob Marley. The food there is worth waiting for 35-60 minutes). This hotel is also a great introduction to the Nubian village.
