Parkplatz für das Auto direkt am Haus hinter verschlossenem Tor. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.

Staying at Château de la Huberdière was one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences you dream about and somehow get lucky enough to live. From the moment I arrived, Patrick and Lodovica were the most gracious, thoughtful hosts—every detail made me feel cared for in such a genuine way. Breakfast was homemade, abundant, fresh, and absolutely delicious. One morning, after the chickens had laid eggs, Lodovica made some just for me. That kind of warmth and attention was felt throughout my stay. As a writer, the solitude here was everything. Quiet, peaceful, held by the land. I started a new book and spent hours each day writing, looking out over the beautiful property. And when I wanted to venture out, the nearby town of Amboise was perfect—walkable, welcoming, inspiring. You have to eat at La Fourchette (truly incredible), and visiting Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years, is a must. I felt completely safe traveling alone in the area, and deeply inspired by this town built around a castle, right on the Loire River. Lodovica and Patrick upgraded my room, and it was honestly beyond special—a space I’ll never forget. Already planning to return in the next few months to experience spring!

The host was incredibly thoughtful and sent us a detailed message (with photos!) explaining how to find the keys, it made everything so much easier. The apartment is in the city center, but it was surprisingly quiet. We slept with the windows open, and the courtyard is secured with a locked gate, which made us feel safe. The building itself is old and full of character, while the studio has a modern interior and all the essentials. We stayed for three nights and felt very comfortable and at home.

David and Natalie were fantastic, accommodating and welcoming. The accommodation was renovated to an absolutely superb standard using everything of a very high quality. The bathroom was outstandingly equipped and a beautiful shower. The breakfast was stunning, fresh and tasty with absolute quality products. A gorgeous location and we hope to stay again very soon. The home is very beautiful and the hosts were the best! They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, while also giving us our privacy. We had a lovely room on the third floor with a gorgeous view of the river and a very comfortable bed. We awoke to a delicious breakfast of fresh chocolate croissants, bread and apple juice all purchased by the host before we woke up. We also had delicious honey harvested by their neighbor as well as several homemade jams.They live in a darling small town with several restaurants and a gorgeous church. It was all PERFECT!!! I forgot to add that there is a beautiful rooftop jacuzzi!!!

Le Relais des Fontaines was perfectly located for an overnight stop on my long drive home to England from near Bergerac in my 58-year-old classic car. Sandrine and Thierry made me feel extremely welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed, and there was also a large lounge, dining area and kitchen available to me. They were able to recommend a restaurant in the village for my evening meal and this was also very good indeed. Next morning an excellent breakfast was served. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone.

Great value for a wonderful, clean space. We were able to park our bikes in the garden. It feels like you are in the countryside surrounded by gardens and farmland.
