The place is super pretty, the rooms are clean, there is a nice variety of choices for breakfast (indian vs western), and the greatest highlight was William, he really went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible, we first arrived close to 00:00 and were super hungry and he made us some coffee and bread, he coordinated taxis for us, truly a super recommended place for your stay in Trivandrum.

Soly and her husband are very caring and attentive. The room and bathroom are spacious and clean. The bus to Munnar is right in front, offering beautiful views along the way. After traveling in India for over two months, this place was like an oasis. It was quiet and clean, with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately, I fell ill while I was here, but I was fortunate to be in such a good environment. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, which made a significant difference for me. I would definitely stay here again and can’t recommend it enough.

The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

We had a truly memorable stay at this homestay villa with our family. The property is beautifully maintained, offering all modern amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday—spacious rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi, and cozy common areas. Cleanliness is absolutely top-notch. The entire villa was spotless, and the washrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained—truly hygienic and fresh throughout our stay, which made a big difference, especially when traveling with family. What made our experience even more special were the hosts Alice aunty and Raju uncle who consistently went an extra mile to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible—always available, attentive, and incredibly warm. Their genuine hospitality made us feel at home. The location is peaceful and perfect for a family getaway, surrounded by well maintained beautiful garden and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Undoubtedly, its really a Home Away from Home. We are eagerly awaiting for our next stay.

We are so happy we found this place in Alleppey and stayed in home of this wonderful family! I booked the room for just one night, but we liked everything so much that we extended our stay for more 10 days. The atmosphere here is very warm and pleasant, the people are kind and welcoming! We became very close during this time and truly felt like part of the family. We also got to know more about the local culture and traditions, and even celebrated Easter together. I’m very grateful to Francis and Jeeja for their hospitality and the delicious breakfasts — you can feel the love and care in every dish. This is now a special place for us, a place we would love to return to! The rooms are also very nice — clean, comfortable, there is a balcony and terrace in the house. The location is also great. Only 3-minute walk to the beach. There’s also a fantastic restaurant nearby — “Viggy’s Sea-side Resto”. We really enjoyed it.

Avanti Castello is a homestay and the apartment felt like home. Comfortable bed, sofa, dining room table and chairs and very clean bathroom with toiletries. The kitchen was very nice and we used it everyday.
