It was around 45 minutes (by bus) south of Munnar, in a peaceful natural area. The room was comfortable, and it was nice having our own balcony in addition to the shared terrace. However, we loved spending time on the terrace and meeting fellow travellers. We enjoyed all of our meals there, and loved that there was some kitchen amenities so you could make your own coffee & tea. The family were very kind and hospitable, and we enjoyed hanging out with Jaan, their youngest son. Jaan took us to a local swim spot which was wonderful. If you're looking for a local experience, and spending time in nature away from the main tourist spots, this is a great place to stay.

The homestay was beautifully located in the calm Flower valley, wonderful to listen to all birds singing at sunrise. All beautiful flowers around the homestay. 1/2 hour tuk-tuk ride to Munnar center from which our hiking activities started. Homestay host provided very good dinner for us in the afternoons. We had a nice walk from the homestay through small village up to a view-point close to the homestay.

An experience that will stay with us for many years to come, thank you Bony.

We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the gorgeous scenery. The hosts were exceptional. They provided information on activities and sightseeing; they helped book our bus ticket; they provided a wonderful breakfast (only 100 rupees) and offered us free or coffee throughout the day. They arranged for tuk tuks when needed. Located about a 15 minute walk to the center of Anachal on a quiet road. They offered for us to try on traditional Indian clothing which was a cool experience.

We had the warmest welcome from Benny and his family. The room is lovely with a balcony that overlooks beautiful scenery. It’s so picturesque. The food is without doubt the best we have tasted. But it was the warm hospitality and kindness that made this stay perfect. Benny shared his knowledge of the land with us, and Sheeja shared fresh homemade food beyond our expectations. We are traveling around Kerala, but I can’t imagine that we will find anywhere that surpasses Sceva’s Garden. It is near the tea estates and trips can be arranged, but in all honesty our favourite time was sitting on the balcony looking at the view.
