Care taker was more than accommodating in making me tea at 5am which is very rare. The place is beautifully done, rooms are very comfortable. I would come back in an heartbeat. This wasn't just any house, but a centuries-old dwelling featuring a classic courtyard and an imposing tree, offering a slice of history and tradition. The hospitality we received was nothing short of remarkable. From the multi-generational welcome committee to the delicious, freshly prepared dinner under the stars, every detail was thoughtfully curated to appeal to all senses - the aroma of incense, the soothing background of Punjabi music, and the visually pleasing traditional decor. Our room was comfortable, complete with complimentary fruits and snacks, showcasing the unparalleled Punjabi hospitality. The highlight of our stay, however, was the village tour led by Tarsem Singh on his vintage tractor. It offered us a vivid picture of village life, from meeting village elders at the panchayat to exploring ancient travelers' rooms and marveling at the lush Punjab farms. A surprise awaited us in a nearby field - traditional games like Gili Danda, tree climbing, and more, creating a playful and bonding experience for my son and us with other visitors and locals. Our experience at Gharowal Village, guided by Tarsem Singh and his family, was more than just a stay; it was a deep dive into the heart of Punjabi culture and hospitality.
