L'emplacement, au bord du lac de Myvatn et tout proche des bains chauds. Le restaurant avec tous les excellents produits fait maison, et la vue sur les vaches que nous avons pu aller caresser. Les chambres sont décorées joliment et l'endroit est propice à l'observation des aurores boréales (si le ciel est dégagé) Le personnel très très accueillant et sympathique !

It is located in a private area in a lava field and is surrounded by low trees. It has a large common living room with an open kitchen. The living room had large glass openings and we could see the trees. It also has a very large balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy nature. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to make a full breakfast (eggs, oil, butter, jams, milk, etc.) The room was clean and comfortable. The host was cheerful and gave us information about the area. Lake Myvatn, the baths and the other attractions are very beautiful and worth the stay. Unfortunately when we went the Grjotagia cave was closed, but we were compensated by the other attractions.

Très belle maison, propre, tout équipée, bien décorée, lumineuse, accès à une laveuse sécheuse, deux grandes salles de bain et près de plusieurs activités dans la région. Le service du propriétaire est impeccable.

L'Eldá Guesthouse vous accueille à Reykjahlid, à quelques minutes à pied du lac Myvatn. Vous pourrez accéder à un parcours de golf à 750 mètres. Nice location close to Mývatn and all facilities are clean

La maison d'hôtes Skútustadir Guesthouse occupe une ferme sur la rive sud du lac Mývatn. Offrant une vue sur les montagnes, elle possède une cuisine et un salon communs. The breakfast was a typical Icelandic breakfast. They had little extras though like homemade rhubarb and orange lemon jam. Also they had a tea that was made from a herb that is found around there.

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. Location was deep within Myvatn area but perfect as we were in the family cottage at the far end of the property. Windows had nets on them for summer, though it allowed us to open some of them for a short period without worry about the flies invading the room! Kitchen was well equipped, and a dining table with four chairs provided enough space for meals etc. Rooms were just about good enough size for two adults to fit in and blackout blinds dark enough to prevent light from disturbing the sleep. Shower/toilet was brilliant with no possibility of water from shower wetting the other areas, though we the window in the bathroom was not working. Parking was right next to the room.

Location was great to see attractions as well as groceries. We loved all the interesting old pieces that decorated the home along with the homemade crafts for sale. This is an old building that has been repurposed so it’s unique.
