The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need — it even has a slow cooker and a rice cooker, which is very convenient. We also really appreciate the attention to small details — the curtain in the shower booth to keep dry area dry, the mirror outside the bathroom (so you can do your makeup while someone else is taking a shower), plenty of power outlets including an extra extension cord in the bedroom. Even though the room is on the second floor (this is informed clearly when booking), so carrying luggage upstairs can be a bit tiring, but the staircase is wide and not steep so it is not that hard. The code for the key box and check-in instructions were sent before arrival, and it was very easy to access the apartment. The view of Kirkjufell from every windows is superb!

Situated in front of the mountains, this country cottage is the dream home for travellers. Everything in the house is in pristine condition, tastefully designed, and every conceivable details taken care. It feels so cosy and homely. Comfortable room and soft bed, smart TV so new and provided relaxing music in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with new cooking utensils for us to cook up a great meal. The Aurora came with full glory at night, making our stay even more unforgettable. Thanks to Kuna and Por for the beautiful apartment. How we wish we could stay a few more days.

Grund was a warm and cozy respite from cold and extremely windy weather. The apartment was in a fantastic location in town - a short walk from the one small grocery store, a restaurant, and a waterfall. It was also an easy drive to all the amazing sights in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated. The kitchen has all you might need to cook - including an ample supply of spices and oils to use. All in all this was an amazing place to stay for our first two nights in Iceland.

It is located on a cliff in a quiet place. Yes you have neighbours but you will only see/hear them at the front of the house. The backside looks out over the sea. Great spot to see the northern lights. As with many apartments you don't see the host throughout your stay. I like that. Your door opens with a code. All basic necessities can be found in the kitchen, also a series of books to read and a telescope to watch the stars or birds, boats at sea. The apartment is very spacious with many places to sit. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night. I would love to come back and stay for a week and settle on the couch with a book :-)

Die Unterkunft Drangar Country Guesthouse bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Drangar. We stayed at Drangar for one night after a short Snæfellsnes tour and what was meant to be a simple stop turned into the main feature of our tour. This old farmhouse has been transformed into an up-to-date guesthouse/ hotel by award winning architects and it is located on a hillside above the ocean with amazing views on the islands of Drangar “bay” and a small internal beach. Both breakfast/ common rooms have views to this great landascape and the hiking trails will allow you to hike and relax by the sea and on the hills away from mass tourism. I loved our room, its interior design with everything we could possibly need (including well-known brands or handmade articles), the great bed and sitting area, the kitchenette which would have allowed us to cook there, had we stayed longer, and the squeaky clean bathroom. The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the room and common areas were impressive, I couldn’t find one particle of dust anywhere!!! It was clear much of this had to do with the personal involvement of the hotel managers who were present at breakfast time, talking with the guests and offering hand-made bread and delicious marmelades and of course a full buffet with everything you might wish for. I loved staying at Drangar so much, that I am already planning a trip of more days there, in order to enjoy pure icelandic nature in a film-worthy farmhouse, feeling free and independent from anyone and avoiding crowded places on a tour in Iceland. This place is not just a hotel, it is also a concept, very icelandic and very feel-good!
