The guesthouse had everything you could wish for: books, computers, a guitar and even some sauces to use in the fridge. Coffee powder as well. So many things to do. It really felt homey as well.

In bester Lage gelegen im Zentrum von Takayama, bietet die Unterkunft Tsuki-Akari Takayama - Japanese Traditional House with Open-air Bath eine Veranda / Patio. Fantastic little house. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, everything in the house was beautifully done. The outdoor bath and private little garden were a huge bonus. The location was excellent, a short walk to where we wanted to go but a very quiet area.

It was AMAZING. We arrived after our chilly hike along the trail to a very warm and inviting traditional home. It was stocked with tea, coffee and drinks in the fridge, as well as some snacks. There were so many different areas to sit and relax in the home, we felt soo welcome and at home we did not want to leave. This was a stark contrast to our Air bnb we had in Kyoto where we felt we could not relax or enjoy the property. The sleepy town was fun to explore, the cafe next door was also very warm and welcoming filled with music and warmth. And the beds!! Being 6 months pregnant I was a little worried about the traditional futons on the floor but it was the best sleep I has the whole 3 weeks in Japan. I also appreciated the number of chairs for me to sit in. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Loved the location, comfort, balcony, and the fact that there was a parking spot. Though I never met the host in person, they were very quick to respond to questions and helped us with luggage forwarding to this location. I enjoyed my breakfast on the balcony and also watched a parade go by from up there.
