The hosts Donna & Neville were great. Nothing too much for them made us very welcome. The room was clean and very modern. There is a microwave, toaster, and kettle, and you are supplied with some food items, milk, butter, jam, cereal, and snacks ect. Lovely view of the canal from the veranda. You are able to use some e-bikes if you want to, although we did not take up the offer. Would I go again? Yes, I would.

It’s a short drive from Whangarei city and worth the drive, located on the water’s edge. Peaceful , clean and private The two rooms are well equipped and Alice is a wonderful host. This is not a boutique hotel, it feels like home with no distractions. Highly recommended.

Didn’t use the breakfast really, but the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We also had access to a bbq which was a bonus.
