Oh my goodness, let me tell you about the most amazing hotel experience we ever had - it was like paradise on steroids! First of all, the location was killer. Right in front of the beach with waves crashing, it was so surreal and peaceful (no need for a white noise machine like I do in Brooklyn). I felt like a mermaid basking in the sun, with the ocean as my soundtrack, while the cutest baby sloths, colorful birds, and other amazing animals were doing their thing, adding to the beauty. It was like living in a Disney movie! But let me tell you, it was the hosts (Simon and Wendy) who really stole the show. These guys were the most adorable, hilarious and attentive people I've ever met. They had us in stitches every day, cracking jokes and making sure we were having the time of our lives. I felt like I was staying with family! The staff (that are like family to Wendy and Simon) was equally amazing - always friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. And let's not forget about the hotel's furry ambassadors, the cutest dogs ever: Jack and Lucky! They were so friendly, and I swear I sometimes spent more time petting them than sunbathing. Honestly, I never wanted to leave this place. I could have stayed forever, sipping on spicy Margaritas, doing my morning meditation on the beach and listening to the waves. If you're looking for a fun and unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend this hotel. You won't regret it! Oh and the restaurant of the hotel is the best too, will need another review on that.

Welcome to Hostal Hansi – Your Cozy Escape in Bocas del Toro!

📍 Located just 50 meters from the docks and a 17-minute walk to El Istmito Beach, Hostal Hansi offers the perfect base to explore the vibrant island life of Isla Colón. We stayed a Hostal Hansi for 3 nights, ended up extending for 1 more night and wish we could have stayed longer here. The photos don’t do this place justice. We absolutely loved it here!! The room with the balcony was so spacious, they provided fresh towels, quick laundry services, the kitchen was just perfect and spacious! And to top it off the staff here are just so so nice! It felt like a little home for us! Also, the first place we have stayed at in a while that had hot water!! One of our favourite places we have stayed on our trip so far!

With garden views, Carmen's place is located in Bastimentos and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar and garden. The property features sea and lake views. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Staying at Carmen’s was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends into her home. The place is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms, a lovely dock, and a lush garden perfect for relaxing. The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this place special is the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Marcel. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with such kindness and care. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant—a perfect way to start the day. And in the evening, Carmen’s home-cooked dinners were a treat—she prepares the freshest fish of the day, and all the guests gather around the table to share a meal and great conversation. Carmen was incredibly helpful with everything, from tending to a blister on my foot to organizing day trips. This stay was more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

Situated within a few steps of Istmito and less than 1 km of Y Griega Beach, Santuarios del Mar provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Bocas del Toro. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 1.8 km from Carenero Beach. Free private parking is available and the apartment also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. We stayed in the studio with a private balcony (Estrella del Mar). Loved sitting on the terrace with a cold beer overlooking the Caribbean sea and watching the sunset 😎. You can hire paddle boards/ canoes & take them straight into the water from the pier. Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)

The house includes 4 rooms on the 2nd floor. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower and warm water. Rooms on the ground floor share an outdoor warm water shower and bathroom. Facilities include a living room, dining room, kitchen and a terrace. Perfect location, great service!

Some units feature views of the sea or garden. We had a great stay and the food was delicious. The property is a few minutes from the town, in a lovely setting. The hosts worked hard to make a great stay for everyone.

Nicolas was a very friendly host, and the breakfast—freshly prepared every day—was absolutely delicious, with a choice of five different dishes. This is the ideal BnB for anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay. The free bike provided by the accommodation made it easy to reach the city center in just a few minutes. It's worth noting that the rooms are not serviced, but I personally didn’t find that to be a problem. Thank you so much for having me!
