The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is professional and very friendly. Good breakfast. The hotel is very quiet as there are only 8 rooms, all with river view. It’s my second time here and I have already booked my next stay.

But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Perfect, lovely and quiet spot. Andre and Sousa are perfect hosts, their breakfast is superb and we could have spent more time there. Would return at any time!

We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

Such a beautiful spot with great design apartments and the perfect pool. Fernanda the manager was also so nice - her wine tour was the best we ever had, with personal anecdotes and passion. Wine not bad either :-)

Beautiful and well renovated quinta, both inside in the room and outside at the pool and the grounds (lemons, blueberries, lavender...).
