There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! A charming property with lovely history. The room was comfortable and spacious, the grounds were surrounded by beautiful vineyards, the pool has a stunning view over the many vineyard covered rolling hills. The staff were extremely helpful with any and everything - reservations, recommendations, wineries to visit, taxis, etc. The service was above and beyond! We really enjoyed having a bottle of wine and charcuterie board while relaxing by the pool. The breakfast was also very delicious and beautifully set up. It was an absolutely perfect stay, and my husband and I can’t wait to return!
