Die Unterkunft ist sauber, einfach und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und das Frühstück gut. Ich komme gern wieder!

The property features two beautiful swimming pools, perfect for a refreshing dip or lounging in the sun. There’s also a spacious and tranquil area to relax, whether you're reading a book, sipping a drink, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The hospitality is next level. Laurette served up a three-course luxury dinner that was simply divine. Christophe prepared the best breakfast I’ve had anywhere in Africa. The rooms are spotless, with tasteful decor and thoughtful touches throughout. Everything is maintained to the highest standard, reflecting a clear passion for hospitality. Villa Kounzo also helps you make the most of your time—they recommend great daytime activities and are happy to order excellent takeaway meals from nearby restaurants if you're staying in for the evening. The on-site bar is another highlight, offering cold, reasonably priced drinks including soft drinks, beer, and wine—a perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring. Villa Kounzo is far more than just a place to stay—it’s a haven of comfort, great food, and genuine hospitality where you feel like home. I left feeling completely recharged and already planning my return. Highly recommended!

Céline's place is excellent - located in the fairly large village of Toubakouta, close to the border with the Gambia, and sitting right on the Sine Saloum Delta. The rooms are large and comfortable, equipped with Mosquito nets, showers and plenty of storage space. The atmosphere around the lodge is relaxed and comfortable, with communal spaces for sitting and chatting, playing games (also provided) and taking meals together. The food is also very good, with fresh bread from the local bakery, homemade jams, juices and yogurt and even some Korean options. There are numerous activities to take part in, easy to choose from from a 'a la carte' book (in Both English and French). This includes things like boats or kayaks in the Delta, guided tours of the region on foot or bike, as well as more surprising options like Tai Chi, African Drumming or lessons on cookery. We took part in a day-long trip with local guide Doudou (who is also excellent) on the water to some of the island and villages in the Delta, and it was fantastic as we got to lunch together with some local people in the Senegalese style. If you're not sure what you would like to do, there's Céline can also help guide you and many of the choices can be arranged at fairly short notice, meaning it's perfectly possible to show up with no plans and just take it from there. Finally, its also worth mentioning that Céline and her husband Gilles who run the Keur Niaye, are also well-known and clearly well respected within the community. They, and their staff, support a number of good causes across Toubakouta and the surrounding area.

We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!

Perfect way to spend some relaxing days and warm evenings in the nature. There are various leisure activities, I can warmly recommend the full day tour with the pirogue to visit the Sine Saloum Delta or an evening run in the suroundings of the hotel.

Fantastisch den Mangroven Ausflug. Imposant den Spaziergang mit den Löwen. Sehr schöne Glamping in den Pavillon Zelten, mit Aussen Doppeldusche mit kalt und Warmwasser, sehr guten Doppelbett. Uhrwaldstimmung in der Dämmerung, Affen ,Vögel, pumba, Nashorn Geräusche vor der Terrasse des Hotels.
