Wonderful, quiet, very clean and lovely property to stay at. The owner is taking a lot of personal care of the house, including all the decorations around the property. You feel like being home. Wonderful, large garden with big, old trees, little river nearby including chairs to sit down and relax, perfect rustic ranch style vacation. Definitely one of the best stays on our roundtrip in the USA, sadly we only stayed there for 3 nights...

Hosts were very friendly and helpful with information on the area. The breakfasts were excellent. The history of the house from the host was very entertaining. The location was far enough from the bustle of downtown Durango to be very quiet at night, but easy to walk to downtown so you didn't need to take your car and deal with trying to find parking downtown.

We have stayed at Mountain Lodge several times, a little tight quarters but very nice units . Our problem this trip was construction. No mention of it when booking, both days there they started at 7:30am replacing roof, loud banging all day, couldn't stay in unit because of noise. Would have booked elsewhere if we had known.
