My trip was random , and i booked for 3 weeks as a base , i wasn't sure where or what i wanted to do. Then i decided to go on some trios , and the staff were so very good at arranging my trips , from the taxi to the ferry to the night buses and returns . Everything was arranged , and i had a blast . This wasn't meant to be a 5 star holiday , it was meant to be a hostel type , backpacking stay , but the Papillon Resort has been very comfy stay. Value for your money is here . I would definitely recommend 👌

Brand new hotel. Quite room, comfortable bed and sheets, clean bathroom, well equipped. Kind personnel. Walking distance from the beach, from where you can already see the Halong-bay limestone islands. Also close the international cruise port, so it was a perfect base for me for one night before the Halong-Bay cruise.

The hostess is very helpfull. She will arranged everything you need according to your plans. And also book the bus when you have to leave( pick Up in the same Hostel) Rooms are clean, they also have a free billiard, and they rent motorbikes, they do Laundry, breakfast after 7:30 am. Also the bed was very comfortable.

The place is great. It is an actual homestay, and the rooms and service are fantastic. But what is even better is the host. I can absolutely say this has been the best host on a 2 month long trip through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. If you would like to meet a local person which is one of the nicest people I have ever met and be sure that he will cater to any needs you have I would say go here and look no further

This place is incredible. The crew were very welcoming and warm, the room was beautiful and full of detail, including a window to the sea below the floating home, and many carefully designed spots to just lay down and enjoy the landscape. They arranged all the transportation for us, even picking is up at Viet Hai after a cruise trip, and trip back to Hanoi by boat/taxi/bus. Besides the human side, what is most stunning in this place is the fact that you get to spend the night in a really unique settlement, call the 'supermarket boat' if you need anything, or sail to a fisherman house to buy some fish to cook for yourself, getting a glimpse of the life in this special corner of earth. I would recommend it in a thousand lifes!

Absolutely a unique accommodation in a very secluded village in the middle of the jungle. This place is still reasonably accessible and the owner of this place will help you to arrange transport. The village itself is nice plus there are several options for day trips. Make sure you wander inside the natural park for some wild nature experience. Food options are slightly limited. Outside of the main season is actually still a high season for local tourists but you will only meet them during the day and the village remains very quiet overnight (well besides animal noises 😁).
