I agree with the praise: incredible location- waking up by the awakening jungle in the morning- spotting tucans, colobries, monkeys, over coffee i- it felt very safe and at the same time like an adventure out, it felt like a sleepover in a (luxury!)treehouse…designed with an eye for beauty, using natural resources. We stayed longer then intended. The shower was lovely and lush, providing refreshment in the tropical climate. It is best suited for people who travel by car (4x4) ways are short but lead up gravel roads. James pointed us to great locations, encouraging to explore more authentic and remote corners of the area - drawing maps, pointing us towards lovely local friends and the best beaches, hidden gems and sodas - it added a sense of authenticity to the well-branded ‘pura vida gringo beach vibe’ of the coast. Even our teenage daughter who was sceptical at first really loved it. Recommended! ❤️

The perfect place to stay! Definitely deserving of all the amazing reviews they’ve received. Our private room was very nice and comfortable, the fans were perfect (AC wasn’t needed), and the shower had warm water. The hostel decor is amazing, and it has nice areas to sit in the courtyard. The kitchen was very large and organised, and had everything we needed to cook. Also this was the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in, they was always a cleaner around cleaning some part of the hostel. Location was also perfect, short walk to everything but also in a quiet spot. Staff were all very friendly. 100% recommend staying here

Gonzales was very friendly and nice ! When booking cancelled our room somewhere else, we really didn’t had a place to stay, and he did everything to help us , and even drove us with his bike to the place, because there wasn’t any taxi or Uber! The place was also very nice, we loved in general our stay at Indalo! We will forever be grateful and definitely come back!

We loved staying in Smile Jungle Hostel, from the first minute to the last. Gonzalo is an amazing host and this was our favourite accommodation in Central America. You feel right at home because everything you could possibly need is available and Gonzalo is always so warm and positive. Such a lovely and welcoming place. The accommodation is very clean, spacious and the hostess thought of the smallest things to make sure you will enjoy your stay. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, I regretted I only booked one night and would definitely recommend Casa Luce!

If you're looking for ideal hosts- Andrea and James - would fulfill your expectations. They are wonderful people with lots of good energy, which share among the others. If you're looking for a place in the jungle, away from people (also away from the sea - about 30 min. driving) oasis of peace, you have just found it. There you can feel totally free and discreet. I fully recommend this place!
