I stayed in the apartment number 2, it was lovely, very clean and beautiful. The kitchen equiped with all the necessary, the room was absolutely lovely, the view from the bed was amazing. They offer room service everyday as in a hotel. All the staff was very kind. Wifi worked perfectly. The location was good, I walked to Fira and for the excursions usually there is a pick up point there in Karterados, a few blocks of distance.

It was so peaceful and a great place to come back to after a day sightseeing in Oia and Fira. The pool was truly beautiful with really good quality sunbeds. Our room and the pool area were spotless. Maria and Spyros was so incredibly helpful. Maria even drove us to Fira bus station to catch the bus to the ferry as the walk to the bus stop to Fira is uphill for 15 minutes which is difficult with a heavy case on wheels. However, opposite the bus stop is the amazing Cretan bakery - a must visit and open 24 hours. We tried croissants, salads and cakes from there and all delicious and very reasonable.

We had an amazing stay! We travel frequently for work, and it’s rare to find a place like this. The owner was incredibly friendly and always helpful with whatever we needed, at any time, making us feel truly welcome. The house is brand new, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need—and even more than expected. It truly felt like a home away from home. I stayed at Caveland with family (my two kids and my mother). The room was much more spacious than I could have anticipated. I was expecting a much more smaller room, with several beds fit within the available space (based on past experience). Instead, what we got a essentially a small apartment, with two separate bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a small living room, all spacious, well equipped (e.g. air condition, wireless, towels etc) and clean. The balcony outside the room was nice for relaxing and also observe the kids in distance, playing in the swimming pool. The kids enjoyed the large swimming pool, it was ideal for the warmest part of the day when we did not want to move around in the island under the Sun. Breakfast was basic but more than sufficient. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The dogs were also a nice company. The village has few nice places to eat, or you can also order to get food delivered at Caveland. Overall, I hope that the fact that Caveland is listed as hostel in some booking websites is discouraging from some families to even consider it as an option - I instead cannot recommend it more.

This is not a hotel to spend a vacation at, but mostly a hotel to use when you need a cheap place to sleep with a close location to Thira and to the bus station. It was a nice detail though that they gave us our room when we arrived for a very early check in around 7am, and the breakfast was also quite good with an additional cost of 7€ which you must be prepared to pay with cash. The price for this hotel is very affordable.

Eva and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. The location was ideal as it was walking distance to Fira 1.1km. There was a bakery close by which served delicious cakes and pastries
