I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu with my family, despite not being familiar with the local language. Our trip was made incredibly smooth and enjoyable, all thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the hotel manager, Balaji, and his wife. They provided us with a clean, secure, and well-maintained hotel room felt like home stay & that exceeded our expectations. What truly stood out was their assistance in arranging a cab for us to visit around 13 temples in the area. I must also extend my gratitude to Booking.com for recommending such a fantastic hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel in Kumbakonam for its exceptional service and the warm hospitality of its manager, Balaji, and his wife. It truly made our visit to Tamil Nadu a memorable one.

First of all, this home stay is the best in kumbakonam. Never encountered such beautiful homestay with comfortable bed and friendly staff. The house owner is also a friendly lady. 10 out of 10 would come here again and recommend to my friends. Who ever wants to stay in kumbakonam. This is the best place. Sri Balaji Grand is an amazing and very convenient place to stay in Kumbakonam! The location is great – barely a minute walk to the temples - and my room was very spacious and comfortable, with great AC and Wifi, hot water and a big balcony with a view on the temples. They also provide water bottles, and the restaurant downstairs is a convenient place to eat. Staff members are very helpful and they helped me book a cab to visit Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple. There are ATMs and plenty of autorickshaws near the hotel, wand you may also pay by credit card (international or local). I would absolutely recommend it and stay there again!
