The self check-in process was very straightforward and easy to follow. The accommodation itself was very spacious and came with many useful amenities. It gave the full feeling of living in a Japanese apartment and was very comfortable and clean. Sunrise has a very good location for it's price, around 10 mins from Nagano station by bus and 20 mins from zenkoji temple. Although the neighbourhood can get quite dark at night, especially the nearest bus stop next to Sunrise. I would recommend sunrise to anyone looking for accommodation in Nagano.

Silver Fox Madarao is a wonderful small hotel very close to the ski runs. The hotel is walking distance to everything in town, and has fantastic views of snow covered trees all around. Rach cooks an amazing breakfast every morning, and the hot baths, massage chair and honesty bar are great for relaxing after a day on the mountain.

It was a home away from home . Spacious quiet perfect location for winter activities in Hakuba , and the host was so so generous with her service and time . This is one of the finest finds in all of Japan and would surely return .
