Excellent location close to train station and everything happening in Takyama. Welcoming friendly staff at the desk. Fabulous hotel with exceptionally delightful, clean facilities and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds with quality bed linen. Wonderful spa and spa space. Delicious traditional breakfast. Happy hour with generous sake tasting, beer and orange juice. The property was perfect for our group of 5 for our 2 night stay. The washing machine/dryer works great, bathroom was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, even the fold out sofa bed was nice to sleep on. Heaters were a godsend. Kitchen was well stocked and although we didn’t use the appliances we can see the extra mile the property goes.

The owner had prepared bedrooms specifically for our needs (we were 2 families travelling together), there were 3 bedrooms -not one as advertised!!!! The house was beautiful & felt like a family home in that it had everything we needed with dishes, cooking utensils etc & including little things like plastic ziplock bags for any meal preparation.
