So many wonderful details that made this our perfect stay: - 12 different bird sounds recorded during breakfast (we have an app) - Pool beautiful with lovely lounge chairs and shade umbrellas - EXCEPTIONAL FOOD! We ate breakfast lunch and dinner here our entire stay because it was so well done - Fresh cut flowers in the room - Full luscious live plants in the bathroom to mimic the beauty out our front patio - Large fridge and coffee and tea amenities - Luxurious stand alone tub under a sky light was well used by me - Soft full towels and bathmats - Very large room and bathroom which were both SPOTLESSLY CLEAN - CLOSE to everything one travels to Anuradhapura to see; not close to the town, but no need to go to the town - Each unit has its own koi pond with plants But the best of all was the warm and genuine service. Truly a diamond.

You could get the real feeling of a Tree House and jungle experience by singing birds. The verity of butterflies are very beautiful. The breakfast was delicious too. Very comfortable stay. Probably one of the best felt places ive stayed in Sri Lanka, John D is a super nice guy who treats you like a friend and the size of the place creates a very comfy and intimate athmosphere. From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. Everything was fantastic! The hotel hosts had to give our room away to other guests and were so kind to find another lovely room for us for an even better price. The rooms are very beautiful and have everything you may need during your stay, including a hairdryer, a kettle, complimentary water bottles, coffee and tea etc. Also, the shower has nice pressure and warm water, which is often not the case in Sri Lanka from my experience. Their breakfast is very cheap, delicious and offers a nice variety of local ingredients. The hosts are also very friendly and happy to help you with anything you may need. Definitely would stay here again. :)

Wasantha has been our first contact with Sri Lanka and a great help even before we had a foot out of our plane! Recognised tourism driver, he picked us up at the airport and took us to Anurâdhapura after guiding us through SIM cards and ATM. His car is comfortable and while driving he gave us many advices. The Home Stay is comfortable, simple, clean and calm. The location is also very good. We had diner there and Wasa and his wife made us our first Sri Lanka curry! Very good! The family is welcoming! During our stay Wasantha was a great help to organise and put us in touch with Lalith for a super visit of the ancient city. We truly recommend Lalith for guiding!!
