Amazing people, amazing property and an amazing environment. The national park around the corner was beautiful, the food was excellent, our room was lovely and spacious and the staff was very helpful. We will never forget this Christmas thanks to the team who took that extra step.

Great food - very substantial breakfasts and dinners. The owner arranged a boat safari for us including transfer. He organised the jeep safari himself according to the current whereabouts of the animals so that we could see as much as possible. He knows the area very well. He also arranged the transfer to the next accommodation. Everything went like clockwork and was on time. Highly recommended!

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Ampara. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

The Charitta is ideal if you want to visit the Gal Oya Water Safari. They take care of booking the safari and arranging transportation for you. A family runs the hotel. They are lovely and helped us with everything. The prices are very reasonable. They also drove us to Barracola in their car for a very good price. It's difficult to get out of Gal Oya without your own transportation. The accommodation is basic but very clean, and the breakfast is very good.
