Nice little two bedroom villa! Recently built. It was clean and the host family were just next door to help with anything we needed. They took us to a Lake where we could swim and the temple with the giant Buda. We originally only planned this place for a stop over on our way more inland to break up a long drive but we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the area was and how many things that were to do around

The best host in Sri Lanka! We felt as at home!! Food was delicious and huge portions! Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. We planned to stay only one night and finally we stay an extra night. We highly recomended this place!

This guesthouse, run by a couple, is about 1 km from the bus station. After checking in, I learned they have two separate buildings with rooms. The newer one looks decent, but I stayed in the older one. It’s very basic and somewhat clean, but the room is quite dated. There’s no Wi-Fi, the room is warm and hot without air conditioning, and the shower only has cold water. The electric fan is noisy, and sometimes bugs come into the room from outside. They provide mosquito coils, though. For such a low price, this is probably what you get. The couple is friendly and kind, clearly good people. They even helped me receive my courier delivery.

This place is absolutely amazing! The hosts are a such a lovely family. They welcomed us and right away offed a lunch. The food was so good so we had a dinner and breakfast too. We will make sure to come back and stay longer.

Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles from 16/05/2025 was an unforgettable experience! It began with a guided hike organized by the team, tailored perfectly to our preferences. The hike was magnificent, with an excellent and caring guide. The packed lunch provided during the hike was both delicious and energy-packed—just what we needed. After the hike, we returned to Royal Mountain Edge, where we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the infinity pool followed by warm tea and local snacks. In the evening, they surprised us with a cozy bonfire, serving local brews as we warmed ourselves by the flames. For dinner, the BBQ platter was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The silence time began at 11:00 PM, but until then, we immersed ourselves in the serene forest surroundings and its enchanting nightlife. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat after an adventurous day. The next morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise near the pool, accompanied by a hot cup of coffee graciously served by the staff. Breakfast was a delightful spread of local delicacies, including milk rice, lunu miris, chicken curry, and fresh fruits. It was the perfect way to end our magical stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles. Highly recommended for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

Beautifully located cabins with spectacular view on rice fields and river. The cabins are very new and are really spacious. We also very much loved the food! Fantastic breakfast and the dinner was also very tasty and good value for money. This in combination with fantastic staff, which helped us with everything, made this the best accommodation we stayed in during our Sri Lanka holiday.

We received a very warm welcome when arriving late in the evening. The hosts arranged a family dinner so we could relax which was delicious . I got sick before my group arrived and they offered to drive me to a doctor. The homestay is immaculate. Very clean, hot showers, comfortable beds and cool AC. Thank you for your hospitality
