That’s the best hostel we stayed in Sri Lanka 😊 They organised us a tuk tuk to go to Horton plains for a very reasonable price and you can also eat in the hostel, they serve a big buffet that it’s impossible to finish. The terrace is a nice place to chill and there is birds, lizards and monkeys around. They also very nice family with a friendly dog.

We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. We stayed with Meena Amma for three short days, and wished we had longer. Meena’s hospitality is note perfect, and her traditional Sri Lankan meals the best we have enjoyed in our time on the island. The setting of the two line rooms is stunning, from the beautiful sunrises to the peaceful evenings in the valley. Thank you Meena for your warmth, effort, care and culinary brilliance - we won’t forget it!

The location within the tea plantations is perfect with a breathtaking view down to the plains. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is great. Rooms are spacious and very clean with a wonderful view from the bed. The owners organise a Tuk-Tuk for a whole day for a reasonable price. We started our trip to Horton Plains very early (5:45) and were provided with breakfast boxes. The owner takes ecology protection seriously, no plastic bottles or plastic bags are being provided.

Beautiful location with the most amazing view! The staff were very helpful and we had nice lunch and dinner. Beautiful area to walk! They arranged tuktuk transport for us to Horton plains at 6am in the morning. Definetely recommendable stay!

Amazing homestay, very nice and helpful family. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is very close to the Horton Plains, family helped us arrange a tuktuk at 6:30 am to get there. They also cooked us two delicious dinners and even helped to take care of my boyfriend’s sprained ankle.

Everything. Perfect location. Very close to Horton plains. Beautiful view of the sunrise from the garden. They take care of animals, which is a big plus. Very nice hosts, if you get up early at Horton Plains, they prepare a delicious takeaway breakfast. Dinners are also delicious, typical Sri Lankan cuisine. The room was very clean, very well equipped. The best stay in Sri Lanka and we were in many places for a month. Perfect!
