Possibility to cheaply rent bikes to visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and the owner Kalum is also a Safari guide. At first with my wife we weren't sure to do it or not because we were in a low-budget holiday, but then we decided to do it and it's worth absolutely every penny!! Pool was fantastic. General ambiance of the hotel was lovely. The staff were fantastic, we had a tour of the property on arrival and were shown the queens suit (with the golden bathtub!) Which we really enjoyed. My aircon didn't work in my room and I was immediately upgraded to a deluxe suite (very nice!). Breakfast was good as well.
