We had the suite, with the large terrace, directly on the beachfront. It was simple amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service can be arranged by whatsapp. The menu and drinks have enough variety for 5-6 days. The beach is very quite and beautiful. Highlight was diner at the beachfront. Also, the spa menu gives your some good options for relaxation.

This hotel was simply the best stay ever! From the moment we arrived, everything was beyond amazing. The hotel is brand new, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed, with modern, stylish rooms and pristine bathrooms. We had a room right next to the pool (yes, there are actually two pools!), making it feel like a private paradise. One of the biggest highlights was the breakfast – hands down the best on Earth. Every single day, we were treated to a different, incredibly delicious, and rich selection of food, showcasing a mix of local and international flavors. We couldn’t get enough! The owners are absolutely wonderful. The host is super friendly, and his wife is the sweetest person ever. She even made us healthy cocktails and packed a homemade lunch for our long journey, which was such a thoughtful touch. Their kindness made the experience even more special. The location is peaceful and stunning, tucked away in a quiet, lush area. However, it’s very easy to reach the beautiful beaches of Tangalle with a quick tuk-tuk ride or by renting a scooter (which we did, and it was so much fun exploring the area!). Even though we skipped the touristy turtle-watching tours, we were lucky enough to see a baby turtle hatching and making its way to the sea while on a walk – such a magical moment! The bed was super comfy, the AC worked perfectly, and we loved relaxing on the private terrace attached to our room. Every single detail was carefully thought out to create an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for an amazing stay with warm hospitality, the most incredible food, and a perfect location, look no further. I 100% recommend this place and would come back in a heartbeat!

There is a massive garden where the accommodation is and you have often wild animals such as monkeys and peacocks in the area. You get a lot of privacy in the villa and ours was sparkling clean. We got delicious breakfast in the morning at reasonable and fair prices. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. The bed is also very comfortable. Highly recommend.

No words to describe this extraordinary place. Everything is so well done : the house is beautiful, the decorations are amazing, the room is so nice and confortable, the outdoors are magnificent especially the swimming pool, the meals are extremely good and the staff is devoted to you. It lies on the beach, which is beautiful with very few people on it, even though you cannot swim because of the waves. The spa is very good too.

We had an amazing stay at Halcyon in Mawella! The hotel is perfectly located – peaceful, with a quiet, clean beach just steps away. The atmosphere is super relaxing, and the pool area is beautiful with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s always a spot to unwind. We ate all our meals at the hotel – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and every single one was delicious. The food is a wonderful mix of Sri Lankan flavors with some Western touches, fresh and full of taste. The setting is gorgeous and the staff are genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a laid-back, beautiful spot to enjoy the south coast of Sri Lanka!

Everything. Super clean, comfy and spacious room! Owner is friendly and helps out in everything. He's the best! He took us to a closeby place where turtles hatch. Had no luck with baby turtles due to the bad weather...but guess what?? We saw a big turtle laying its eggs. Beautiful nature♥️ breakfast was superb too! Owner varied it and gave us a taste of great SriLankan food. Ended up spending an extra night there, even though it's during the rainy season!

We stayed in the new, private house which was truly amazing. Loved the peaceful atmosphere, the privacy and beautiful garden where you could spot plenty of animals in the morning. There is a bedroom with kitchenette and a bathroom. The owner was very kind and attentive.
