The view was lovely, peaceful location. Sweet little tiny home. Easy drive from Lake Tekapo. Recommend if you want a comfy, peaceful spot away from the crowds.

On our first trip to New Zealand and as we live on a small farmstead in the UK, we were very keen to sample a taste of life on a Hill Station. The cottage at Bauchops Hill Station really gave us a feel for life in the spectacular scenery which surrounds it. The landscape is awe inspiring and puts a different perspective on life. Once the log burner in the living area of the cottage was lit, it heated up the whole place. Make sure to take a look at the wonderful night sky during your stay-stars and moon are so bright out there! We had the most memorable Farm Tour with Dion, whose extensive knowledge of the area and farming expertise was shared freely. We will always remember those few hours with him, with gratitude.

So close to Tekapo but just out of the hustle and bustle , picturesque location. Very cool full tiny home vibes, this wagon had everything we needed. The cute animal visitors were a welcome surprise in the morning.

We lost power at 4 am but still made the best of the situation.

I had an amazing stay at Bauchops Hill Station. Lou and Dion were lovely hosts, the Tiny House was very comfortable, modern and super clean. View from the terrace was great. Perfect for relaxing and decompressing away from the crowds at Lake Tekapo!

The unit was spotless and smelled refreshingly of citrus, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the room was warm and cozy—just what we needed for a perfect getaway. The location was also super convenient, close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. To top it all off, the property was beautifully blanketed in snow, making it feel like a magical winter wonderland. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and it truly made our stay seamless and memorable. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be booking again—sooner rather than later!
