Design, Location in the mountains, view, tranquility, atmosphere. The food at the (only) restaurant up there was delicious, but it’s not included in the price. In order to have this remote and calm location, you should be aware of the steep and bumpy road to get there. We did it with a regular rental car and it was okay, but we would recommend to do the first ride at daylight.

I highly recommend this place. The staff was always helpful and smiling (even when the guests were being difficult). I loved how beautiful the different rooms/apartments were arranged. Everything was close, but still secluded. The gardener team is doing great work. I would like to have all these beautiful plants at home. There was something new to discover every day. The rooms were cleaned daily and the water can in the room refilled as well. We also loved the bar with the pool table which we used every night. Welcome drink was a very nice gesture and the fresh juice tasted so good. You can choose from a lot of options for breakfast. Just the portions of jam and butter were sometimes calculated a little bit too small. You can hike up the El Pastoreo in about 10-15 minutes and admire the beautiful sunset or sunrise from there if you do not want to hike up the crater rim. It is right behind the hotel. Thanks for everything!

Patti is a wonderful host who is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The accommodation is tranquil, surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife, in the middle of the forest. Lovely helpful staff, breakfast was always delicious and different everyday. The kitchen was really well stocked with kitchenware and also spices, oil etc. which was great for cooking. The space is lovely, chilling in the hammock after a morning of hiking was the dream. The location was great too. Would 100% stay again if I was back in el valle.

A huge plus point is the location, just a short walk from the greatest concentration of facilities along the El Valle main road. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The staff are charming. In particular, I had quite a lot of dealings with Oriel and he was extremely friendly and helpful, at one point spending a couple of hours fixing a problem I had accidentally created. I want to spend a bit more time in El Valle so I will be definitiely be going back to stay here again.
