This was a great place to start our holiday in Sao Tome. We wanted somewhere close to the airport and outside the city. Casa Luis delivered and also has a beautiful quiet garden to chill out, a pool to cool down in and clean rooms with air conditioning which makes it easier to get used to the heat in the night. The owner was really helpful, he arranged for someone to come and exchange our euros to the local dobras - and he even took care of our extra stuff when we went for a trip to Principe (only 16 kgs luggage allowed on the plane). He offered to have someone escort us to the restaurant the first day, but after understanding that the area was safe we politely declined and found our way using google maps. Thank you and we would visit again.

Gorgeous location offering a stunning view over Praias dos Tamarindos (5-10 min walking distance). Zen atmosphere with the sound of waves, crickets at night and birds during the day. The owner Adi and his staff welcomed and treated us as we were in a 5* establishment. They were very accommodating day and night. There are 2 identical bungalows with a huge terrace. They are set in the middle of the plantation. The bed is comfortable and the fan works powerfully. Hot water with good pressure went the pump is on. The food is exceptional at a very good price. We had a gastronomical tasting for our first night. Ingredients are mainly from their plantation and according to the catch of the day for the seafood. Their fresh Cajamanga juice is addictive. We initially planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4 nights. We really enjoyed our experience, the kindness and the smile of this place.

Welfare Agroturismo was part of the São Tomé round trip I have made with my girlfriend. The hotel is small (5 rooms only) and quite remote, but surrounded by beautiful nature. It has a very beautiful garden full of flowers, vanilla, fruits… and there are several options for tours to explore the center of the island (visit of Monte Cafe and Jardim Botanico de Bom Sucesso; hike to Lagoa Amelia; or you just start a hike along the old paths directly from the agroturismo). The hosts are so lovely and great cooks. Especially the dinners were really great and diverse. I would definitely come back again!

I truly loved my stay at the hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful, despite the fact that I could not speak Portuguese. The owner has really thought through every detail of a tourist's need, especially when it is your first time, and was always available if I needed help with translation or a ride somewhere. The location is also convenient, close to the city center, a couple of restaurants, and the airport. It was definitely one of my highlights during my stay.

Really easy and relaxed place, the fantastic beaches are nearby… went for the turtle 🐢 night and brought baby’s to the sea 🫶🏼 nice breakfast, fantastic stuff. It was just perfect 😍
