Cheap hotels in Yukary-Ukhum

We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming guesthouse nestled in the mountains, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. The guesthouse offered breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, creating a serene and picturesque setting. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the range of activities offered. I had the chance to go horseriding for 300k sum, which was a fantastic way to explore the scenic surroundings. Additionally, I visited a really old tree ( "munzhrum tree", more than 1000 years) in a nearby village for 200k, went on a charming donkey ride for 250k, and took a trip to a salt lake for 200k. Each activity provided a unique perspective on the local area and added a special touch to my visit. One of the highlights of my stay was the opportunity to dine with the family who runs the guesthouse. Sharing meals with them provided a unique and personal touch that made the experience even more special. Not only did I enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals, but I also had the chance to learn traditional cooking techniques directly from them. I particularly enjoyed learning how to make bread and cook "five fingers" pasta, which was both educational and rewarding. An added bonus was the presence of a good English speaker, who facilitated communication and made interactions with the family smooth and enjoyable. Transportation: I took a train from Tashkent to Djizak. Then in Djizak (with the help of friendly workers at the train station) I took a shared taxi to the village for 150k sum. I showed them the map on google map. On the map it looks like in Uhum village, but its in fact in Hayat village. For the trip back ( Hayat to Djizak) it cost me 300k sum. Great place. Perfect spot to unwind for a couple of days. The rooms were brand new and spotless. There are many places in the hugo garden to relax. We liked the food.

Aslon has an amazing home. The garden (full of animals) is very pleasant and the rooms and facilities are great. Me and two other travellers had a lovely dinner with a part of the family. Also they helped me with a taxi and my journey to the next villages Uhum and Hayat.

I had a nice stay there. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast and dinner in the garden, where the vegetables are freshly sourced from their own garden. The village is quiet, offering peaceful walks along the river, and there are opportunities to explore neighboring villages across the mountains. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a serene getaway, I highly recommend it. For those who are going, the place is known in the village as « Muhammad Ali guesthouse ».

We only booked one Night at first and rapidly decided to extend for 2 more nights. We loved our stay at Sentob village, a real authentic village where everyone in the village will welcome you. The gesthouse is really Nice, bedroom and bathroom are basic but with everything you need. The outside area is also really beautiful and peaceful. We paid 400 000 soms to come from Navoi to the village, thanks to the son of the family who drove us. Price of food is 15$ for lunch and same Price for dinner for 2 people and food was really great. I recommand this place if you Want to see another part of Ouzbekistan and be in a quiet place.

The meals were a highlight of my stay — delicious homemade Uzbek dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The flavors were rich and authentic, showcasing the culinary traditions of the region. One of the most memorable aspects was the chance to participate in local activities and observe traditional customs. The hosts warmly welcomed me into their daily routines, offering insights into their way of life. Additionally, the proximity to natural attractions like the Hayatsay Gorge and the opportunity to witness the conservation efforts for the endangered Severtsov’s sheep added depth to the experience.
