Whilst Switzerland in general is extremely picturesque, you cannot beat the views which are on your door stop. You are set on Lake Zug with views of the surrounding mountains. Whilst slightly off the beaten track it is easy accessible with the train station a short 5 minute walk away with good connections. Not that you’d know because you don’t hear the trains! You can swim in the pool or take a swim in the lake or even better… paddle boarding! The outdoor area is well decorated with the sun setting down throughout the day. The property itself is designed for couples but is well designed, clean and modern. The host is happy to be contacted throughout the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again despite being on the pricier side which I think is currently a fair value.

The location is truly amazing, with an unbelievable view and the lake entrance less than 100 meters from the door. Even with the cooler September weather, the crystal-clean water made for a great swim! The apartment is perfectly stocked with everything you need (and more), including a thoughtful welcoming box. Jean was the most helpful and friendly host we could ask for, treating my entire family (and our dog!) with exceptional kindness. This was, without a doubt, the most beautiful apartment and the best hosting experience we have ever had. Highly recommended, we look forward to returning!

Situé à seulement 2 minutes à pied des rives du lac et à 1 km de la gare de Zoug, le Youth Hostel Zug dispose d'une connexion Wi-Fi accessible dans les parties communes. Première fois pour nous dans un hostel avec chambre privée tout de même… À refaire!! Cet endroit était parfait, le petit déjeuner complet, chambre grande, confortable et propre, personnel très gentil et près du lac. Si tout comme moi vous hésitez à réserver parce que vous avez passé l’âge de l’adolescence , et bien allez y sans crainte, Il y a des gens de tout âge et on se sentait très à l’aise ( début soixantaine).

The room is equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay: high-quality bed linen, clean and soft towels, excellent cleanliness, and a genuine feeling of care for guests. Despite its central location, the hotel is very quiet and calm. It is an ideal choice for travelers who appreciate classic style, historical surroundings, and true Swiss quality. I would be delighted to stay here again and can confidently recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, elegance, and the authentic spirit of old Zug.
