The apartment is spacious, with a comfortable bed, a friendly living room and a balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff and the manager Luciano are all professional, friendly and gave me support in everything I needed. If I return to santiago I will definitely make the same choice for accommodation.

Just 100 meters from Baquedano Metro Station, Hostal Río Amazonas offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and TV sets. We are in the middle of 3 great neighborhoods, each at 10 min walking distance: Bellavista (nightlife), Lastarria (gastronomy) and Barrio Italia (Antiques and design). Santiago’s historic town center is at 30 min walking or 10 min in public transport. The staff was very welcoming. I had problems with the reservation (my mistake) and they promptly found a solution that would work for both of us. Location is great. The room (single room) is small but comfortable. Breakfast was good as well, I believe if I had breakfast at a cafe I would spend more and have a worse meal.
