What a beautiful place with wonderful people. The best part about staying here is their direct support to the local community - they donate more than half of their profits towards educational projects in the region. Therefore, when staying in this incredible place, you are directly making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. The breakfast was superb, and we also loved the "Honesty" area where you recorded what you took, and it would be added to your bill at the end of your stay - so you did not have to go and order a glass of wine, or a beer. You would take it and write down the details for them. The location is absolutely perfect. We could easily walk to restaurants and the center of town. We had a car, however when we did different activities on one day, they were able to organize a taxi for us. The staff is wonderful and incredibly welcoming and helpful. We really cannot say enough good things about this special place. It is an inspiration, and we would love to see more places like this in the world. They would always have our support.

A wonderfully equipped, comfortable and self contained accommodation with a stunning balcony view (including hummingbirds, a massive lizard, vultures, butterflies and many more animals!) I was only able to stay one night, but wish it had been longer! Highly recommend for anyone wanting peace in nature.

There is a genuine effort to preserve this corner of the world for future generations, which is extremely inspiring. The facilities and services at Nicoya Silvestre are excellent. Best hostel in Santa Theresa! Great vibe, and nice people. The hostel is across the road from the beach, close to supermarkets, restaurants and shops, and it’s always clean. Brandon, Augustine and Marco are all super friendly and helpful, and make you feel really welcomed at the hostel. We hope to be back :)
