The young owner came to greet us personally and told us the story of the hotel. It was such a lovely personal touch. Food was great both at breakfast and dinner, with authentic Egyptian dishes. The hotel was originally built in 1920s and it still full of old-fashioned charm. It's like stepping back in history. Great value for money. We will certainly be back if we visit the region again.

When staying there, you live with Peters family who are all lovely people. Peter is the only one who speaks English and German and is happy to translate between you and people in his family and village. Or when peter isn't available google translate is also a good option. It might not be for everyone, but for us it was an amazing opportunity to see the real authentic life in an Egyptian village. Thank you Peter!
