We truly felt at home, and the host was exceptionally friendly, giving us plenty of great tips on where to go in the evening and which cycling routes to take. The best advice he gave us was when we asked whether we should wait in our rooms for better weather. He said: "Those who wait never see the sun." And he was right: it rained for 20 minutes, and then the sun came out, and we swam on a stunning tropical beach. I warmly recommend staying here.

Breakfasts are provided each morning, and Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The location is stunning, on a quiet side of the island and on a hill with wonderful views. With rented bikes we got around easily. The room was very comfortable, and the downstairs sitting area was cozy and good for meeting people and chatting. Breakfast was delicious and the hostess very kind and helpful.

The property has an outdoor dining area. Wonderful place to stay. We were two couples the downstairs room was tiny so the bed was a full but I slept great. The whole house is lovely and clean. The view is stunning. I was concerned because we had a later ferry and didn’t have time to run to the market and we were pleasantly surprised to have fresh bread milk and eggs to make breakfast with. I will try to stay here on my next visit. We all loved having space to hang out and enjoy our trip.

The hotel is in the heart of the Gaeltacht where the Irish language is still spoken. In the local area there are good walks, boat rides and Dun Aongusa Fort. The hotel staff went above and beyond. I got a free upgrade into a chalet with a beautiful sea view. The pan fried sea bass I had for dinner was amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean and all the staff were great, particularly Joanna on reception who arranged for my phone charger to be put on the ferry to the mainland, after I left it in my room, and the hotel manager who took it down to the ferry port. Cannot fault this hotel, highly recommended.
