The location is perfect, right next to Dimmuburgir, Hverir, the cave and of course the lake which benefited us with a beautiful sunset from the kitchen. It wasn't so cheap but worth the money.

We returned after many years to the farm guesthouse and were highly impressed by the major upgrades. Actually our group rated this place as the highest amongst all we had in Iceland! Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. On-site facilities include 2 hot tubs and a communal TV lounge. Free WiFi is available in the common areas. We loved our stay here. We were a group of 16 people, some stayed at the cottages and some others at the shared rooms. Bathrooms were super clean and modern, the beds were comfy and the facilities very clean. We had breakfast and everything was delicious. We even bought handmade sweaters at the best price we could get. Loved the farm vibe of the place.

The hotel is situated next to the beautiful lake Myvatn. There’s a free parking area next to the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy. The food was always freshly prepared. We spent the evenings playing darts 🎯 and drinking their craft beer 🍻 I would like to thank the staff of the hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful with smiley faces. We didn’t use the sauna and hot tubs but they looked nice. A nice compliment was free coffee and tea any time you wanted in the lobby. I recommend this hotel everyone who seeks for comfort and hospitality.
